Do you only make acetate glasses?

Yep.

It’s taken a decade to learn to use this amazing material.

Rather than become a jack of all trades, we’ve focused on high quality acetate frames in timeless frame-shapes.

Plus, acetate is a bio-plastic made of plant fibre, which means it’ll eventually biodegrade.

Our frames are currently made in two locations.

Glasgow

Our premium UK made acetate frames are handmade right here in our Glasgow workshop.

Sheet's of acetate arrive at our doors and they leave as fully fledged spectacles and sunglasses frames.

They go through over 100 in-house processes from cutting, machining, riveting, moulding, polishing, assembly and lens fitting.

As Scotland's only eyewear manufacturer, we're proud to say that.

Sabae

Our diffusion acetate and wire frames are handmade in Japan's optical hub of Sabae.

This region is renowned for its fine metal work and exceptional craftsmanship.

Located on the western island of Honshu, Sabae is best known as the country’s leader of optical manufacture.

Combined with the neighbouring optical industry of Fukui city, both populations collectively produce 96% of Japan’s eyewear.
